What are good names for a Pure Trust?

A trust can have almost any name. If the trust is to be operated as a business, it would be a good idea to have the name reflect the type of business. For example, you wouldn't want to name a trust "Joe's Drug Store" if the trust was designed to sell nails. You should not, of course, give the trust a name that is already being used by an existing business. For example, you would not want to name a trust "General Electric" as that name is already taken. You would not want to name the trust the same as a local business, either.

As a general rule, a trust name should not include "Association", "Incorporated", "Limited", or other terms that have specific legal meanings in statutory law.

A trust which will need a checking account should not include the word "Foundation" in the name. For some reason, banks don't like to open accounts for foundations.
